• William J. Gallo, AIA, LEED® AP

    William J. Gallo, AIA, LEED® AP is Chairman/CEO of Gallo Herbert Lebolo. He serves as client liaison and is responsible for all administration, operations and sales of the firm. Bill also coordinates government processing of site approvals and provides consulting services for dispute resolution and analysis. He is NCARB certified and registered in FL, NY, GA, MA, NJ, DC, DE, PA and SC.

    Bill is unique in the design and construction business. His training includes architecture, construction and development economics. He began at the Pratt Institute in New York where he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree. He culminated his education with a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University in Cambridge Massachusetts where he focused on development economics. This rare combination of businessman and architect has made Bill extremely effective in his field.

    In 1973 Bill operated his own architecture and construction management firm, with offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. During this time Bill specialized in healthcare, long term care design and adult environments. In 1985 a development subsidiary of Security Savings Bank, a publicly traded financial institution purchased his firm. While there, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the fixed asset management consulting company, responsible for overall operations. Bill later founded the Gallo Group, which evolved into Gallo Architects & Development Consultants, Inc. Today the company is known as Gallo Herbert Lebolo.

    During his professional career, Bill has performed numerous noteworthy projects and received awards for design. Key Florida projects the firm has performed and received recognition for are, Graduate Dormitories at Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Florida, Department of Homeland Security Southeast Sector Headquarters, Pembroke Pines, Fountains of Miramar, Shopping Center, FAU Research Park, Deerfield Beach, Johnson & Wales University, North Miami, Master Plan, Nova Southeastern University Law Center and School of Psychology, FAU/Chartwells Dining Facilities and Gulf Reflections Community, Fort Myers. Additionally, Mr. Gallo has received recent recognition from the Construction Association of South Florida for his own home which won, “best overall residential design and construction”.

    Community service is important to Mr. Gallo’s personal philosophy. Currently he serves on many local committees and organizations and has been published in numerous periodicals. He is Board Member and Past President of Historic Stranahan House, is a Member of the City of Lighthouse Point Planning & Zoning Board, former Vice Chair of the City of Deerfield Beach Housing Authority, Member of the Boca Raton Airport Aviation Advisory Board, and is a Member of the Advisory Board to the Nova Southeastern University Center for Psychological Studies. Additionally, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Construction Association of South Florida and the Cities of Deerfield Beach, Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale Chambers of Commerce. He has also lectured locally to professional groups and has served as a guest critic at the Rhode Island School of Design and Spring Garden College where he served as faculty from 1974 through 1979.
