Tom MongelloTom Mongello is a project manager at Gallo Herbert Architects and coordinates development from the design stage through construction. As a project manager, Tom is the primary point of contact with the client, the engineering team and the contractors.
With over 34 years of experience, Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Queens College of the City, part of the University of New York. Later, he earned a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University.
In the state of New York, Tom has worked on various impressive projects for noteworthy companies such as Welton Becket, Machinist Associates, Rockrose Development/Rockrose Construction, Interior Facilities Associates, Citibank, EF Hutton, Mancini-Duffy, Machinist & Gray Architects and Silvercup Studios. The projects range from working for a small firm in Manhattan designing apartments and loft residences, new and renovated homes, and small commercial projects, to being a design team member on large-scale, commercial development in Moscow, USSR. Tom has also been a project manager/construction manager on a multi-year renovation project that took an existing industrial building in New York and turning it into a series of film/television/commercial studios, and support space such as dressing rooms, office space and workshops on a fast tracked deadline of three months.
Tom also gives back to the community by working pro bono for his Alumni school in Brooklyn, New York. The Catholic boys’ high school works on an austerity budget and call on alumni in professional positions to consult on their behalf. Rudy Giuliani, another alumnus, is also ‘on call’.
